If any place has the need and potential, it is our neighborhoods in and on the outskirts of Chicago and outlying areas. There has never been a better time than now. The need is there, as it has been for generations but so is the care and now the resources to fulfill such long-endured gaps in public programs. Particularly for at-risk youths, growing up with all the odds and worldly influences against them. there is a lack of organized positive outlets available as alternatives to ‘hang out.’
